Jessica Galea attended the Opportunities in Superyachts, 11th Annual Conference on the 14 March 2024. The event is an annual forum attracting superyacht lawyers, corporate service providers, refit & repair facilities, marinas, family offices, insurers, yacht managers, charter brokers, builders, financiers, and yachting associations, where the latest yachting topics are highlighted. Jessica moderated the Technology, Refit and Sustainability Panel where experts Joe Degabriele (MB92), Jeroen van den Hurk (VBH) and Ben Pym (Engineered Marine Systems Ltd), gave their views on what sustainability means for the re-fit/repair sector. The current decarbonisation technologies available for the new build /refit sector and how the re-fit/repair sector is constantly evolving in general were also discussed.
